He is the Ceo and founder of Gadhungal Marring. Inspired by his grandfather, Uncle Laddie Timbery, who built a business selling boomerangs on the South Coast, Raymond carries forward a proud tradition of sharing and preserving our culture.
Today, under Raymond's leadership, Gadhungal Marring has grown to include a team of 17 staff, working with 22 schools across the Shoalhaven area. The organisation provides immersive cultural experiences through bush walks, workshops, and educational programs.
Raymond’s passion for culture extends beyond teaching—it’s about empowering the next generation, fostering a deep connection to country, and sharing First Nations heritage with a broad audience. Through Gadhungal Marring, Raymond continues to inspire others to learn, respect, and protect Aboriginal culture.
Raymond will be leading a Walk-In Workshop, sharing and teaching about Fishing Spears, the traditional methods for making them and their use.
