DYAGULA
Join Dyagula for our Possum Skin Drum Workshop for Mums and Kids at Giiyong Festival Saturday 22 November at Jigamy, near Eden - Thaua Country, as part of our walk-in workshops program.
‘Burrbil’ - Wiradjuri word for skin drum.
This is a reclamation of Culture.
Come and experience a truly unique session with Dyagula (Wiradjuri|Gamilaraay|Ngunawal|Walgalu) and founder of Women’s Burrbil Collective ‘Burrbirra’. Listen, learn and leave with a first hand experience of the world’s very first drums from the world’s oldest continuing Culture, and gain a greater understanding of our sustained connection to them.
Together, we honour and continue the heartbeat that has guided our people and resonated through our ceremonies for over half a million seasons.
Dyagula will also be performing with Bow and Arrow on the main stage.
