Tickets are now on sale for Giiyong Festival, returning to Jigamy, Thaua Country (between Pambula and Eden NSW) on Saturday 22 November 2025 from 10am until late. Presented for the first time by Twofold Aboriginal Corporation as lead producers, the much-loved festival promises a day of music, dance, ideas, food and workshops, for all ages.

Giiyong Festival is recognised as the biggest celebration of Aboriginal arts and enduring culture in southern NSW. It brings together Aboriginal creative and cultural practitioners from across Australia and is also a chance for local performers and artists to reach a wide audience.

Headlining the 2025 program are the powerhouse voices of 3% - sharing contemporary stories and driving beats, plus Coloured Stone – the iconic pioneers of desert rock, reggae and country. Docker River Band from the NT are coming back, last appearing in 2018 at Giiyong, with their unforgettable live sound.

A full main stage program has everything from country, soul and RnB to hip hop and electronica – Aboriginal musicians from across Australia now see Giiyong Festival as a highlight on their festival calendar. The day will be MC’d by comedians Dane Simpson and Isaac Compton.

Alongside the music, the festival offers free workshops, a jam-packed speakers program, and hands-on activities all day, ensuring something for all ages and interests. Author, poet and musician Kirli Saunders will lead conversations throughout the day with Aboriginal astronomers, cultural burning practitioners, Elders and experts on a range of topics.

Dance groups from up and down the coast will bring storytelling and passion to the Bunaan (dance-circle) throughout the day. The emotion-packed Dhilwaan Yarrkural (Nightfall Dance), just before sunset, is something to behold.

“This festival has grown to stand as a powerful reminder of the importance of reconciliation and as a testament to the resilience of Aboriginal people,” said Alison Simpson, Co-CEO and Cultural Advisor of Twofold Aboriginal Corporation. “We are so proud to be leading Giiyong into its next chapter and to share this incredible cultural experience with the whole community.”

“This year’s program is jam-packed. The scope of what festival-goers will see and experience, all in one day, cannot be found anywhere else in southern NSW. It’s a fantastic way to immerse yourself in Aboriginal Culture and Giiyong Festival is a great chance for the entire community to get together,” Mrs Simpson said.

Twofold Aboriginal Corporation is also proud to be providing employment and education opportunities this year to the community through their partnerships with Studio Jaanda and Grow the Music, as well as within the festival team itself. The festival’s dedicated volunteer team is also a key part of its success, and applications are now open for anyone interested in contributing to the event and being part of a professionally-run, full-day festival with many moving parts.

Giiyong Festival is an event for everyone – a vibrant celebration of Aboriginal culture, creativity, and strength. Buying your tickets early helps the organisers with planning and helps sets the stage for a truly successful event.
